Welcome to the website of the
International Kenpo Karate Association
International Kenpo Karate Association
The Kenpo Karate Association of America was founded in 1956 by Edmund K. Parker.
In the early 1960īs Mr. Parker changed the name into the International Kenpo Karate Association. Until his death in December 1990 he was the president and driving force behind this worldwide organization. After his death Mr. Parkerīs wife, Leilani Parker kept the IKKA running the best she could, with all her love and devotion and together with many of its members around the globe.
Today, the members of the IKKA perpetuate the art of American Kenpo Karate as developed and taught by Senior Grandmaster Edmund K. Parker.
Its function now is to be a non-commercial governing body for all individuals and organizations to fulfill Mr. Parkerīs dream to unite and make his creation The American Kenpo Karate System a worldwide recognized and well organized Martial Art.
Mr. Parker is not here anymore, at least not in a physical way, but he knows what weīre doing, so itīs up to us to fulfill his dream, a dream we all share.
Nobody has the charismatic leadership Mr. Parker had, and he cannot be replaced as head of the IKKA. No, this time we have got to do it all together.
Itīs up to us and the generations to come to keep the flame burning, united and constantly with an energy and beauty as never seen before.
So, to everybody out there, who has ever left the IKKA or thinks the organization is gone,
Itīs Time to Come Home!!!
